QUICK TAKEAWAYS

  • ISIR is the first real estate firm in India to join the Metaverse.
  • Arjun Sodhi and his design team will target India’s elite, who value a collaborative design process and are looking for stylish, sustainable, and innovative solutions for their homes and hospitality projects.
  • It now has offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Goa, Colombo, and the Maldives, as well as a mandate in the Maldives.

India Sotheby’s International Realty (ISIR), a global luxury real estate consultancy firm, has acquired the architectural and design practice of Delhi-based architect Arjun Sodhi, who will lead India SIR’s virtual design and NFT real estate initiatives in the emerging metaverse landscape, according to a senior executive.

ISIR is the first real estate firm in India to join the Metaverse. Sodhi has designed luxury homes in India and abroad for affluent Indian families.

India SIR’s White Glove services include everything from property identification to legal due diligence, tax and wealth advisory (via their panel of advisors), mortgage arrangements, Vastu, and even relocation services.

The addition of customised architectural and interior design services, as well as professional expertise and personalised project supervision, fits in perfectly with the growing needs of wealthy buyers who require trusted and experienced architectural services to build, refurbish, or redesign their homes after the sale is completed.

Arjun Sodhi and his design team will target India’s elite, who value a collaborative design process and are looking for stylish, sustainable, and innovative solutions for their homes and hospitality projects.

He is particularly excited about venturing into NFTs for trophy properties and seeking opportunities in the Web3 real estate industry, as well as providing high-quality strategic consulting design solutions and believes that encouraging the development of human-centric virtual work–play – social interactive virtual environments will create tremendous value.

India SIR already has White Glove service agreements in place with some of the country’s most trusted partners, including EY and PwC, as well as several leading law firms. For any high-value transaction, this exclusive service, unique to India SIR, ensures that the client’s needs are met by a single trusted advisory and transaction partner. White Glove services are available in all of India SIR’s cities, including NCR, Mumbai, Goa, and Kolkata.

ISIR recently paid Rs 5.5 crore for a 12 per cent stake in CRE Matrix, a data analytics platform for residential and commercial real estate.

In 79 countries, the SIR network has 1,000 offices and 25,000 sales associates. It set a new global real estate sales volume record of $204 billion in 2021.

In July 2014, the brand opened its first India office in New Delhi.

It now has offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Goa, Colombo, and the Maldives, as well as a mandate in the Maldives.

In 2021, India SIR sold 182 luxury properties worth $280 million, up from 102 properties worth $190 million the previous year. In terms of value, property sales increased by 47 per cent, while volume increased by 78 per cent.
